Take a look left, take a look right. Chances are, in the 10 most recent person you met, at least one of them would be a K-Drama addict. Oh wait, are you one of them too?

If you do, what about arranging a special trip to South Korea where all you do is hunt down these locations where your favourite K-Dramas were shot? Sounds fun right?

Let’s start!

1. Daepohang Port Light House, Sokcho

Remember that amazing scene where Ahn Min Hyuk and Do Bong Soon went for a beautiful date with the bright red lighthouse at the background? It’s the K-drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’. This scene was shot in Sokcho, a coastal city where the breathtaking Seoraksan mountain is also located.

2. E-World, Daegu

E-world Daegu was featured in another famous dating scene, this time from ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’. Need more hint? Remember the scene where Kim Bok Joo and Jung Joon Hyung went for a date with their friends, and held hands for the first time in the drama

3. Sanmotoonge Café

It goes without saying, this location was featured prominently in the drama series Coffee Prince. Need more hint? This location is known as Lee Sun Gyun’s house in the drama itself. Aside from checking in this place in real life, also take time to sip your latte here as this place is a cafe too!

4. White Block Gallery, Paju

Want to kill SEVEN birds with one stone? check out this café. Seven K-Dramas have shot scenes here – most notably ‘Suspicious Partner’, ‘Legend of the Blue Sea’, ‘On the Way To Airport’. This café is also used as a set for ‘Introverted Boss’, where Eun Hwan Ki and his secretary Chae Ji Hye meets to practice for Eun Hwan Ki’s date. Could you name the other 3 more dramas?

5. Jangsado Sea Park, Geoje

You a Kim Woo Bin fan? Bet you could recall this scene. In the drama ‘Uncontrollably Fond’, Noh Eul finally found Shin Joon Young sleeping on a bench on an unknown island after he went missing for a day. This island is actually Jangsado Sea Park. Just take a ferry ride from Geoje city to reach here

6. Wolmido Island, Incheon

Could you remember the scene where Captain Yoo Si-jin and Sergeant Major Seo Dae-young played in a shooting range and won the iconic Decendants Of The Sun soft toys? The shooting range is actually a part of an amusement park in Wolmido Island, Incheon!

7. Bonjour Hawaii Restaurant

Watched ‘Doctors’ before? This is the place where Hong Ji Hong, Ryu Hye Jung had scenes where they were drinking beer, while enjoying their date. On a side note, the restaurant itself serves amazing Sushi pizza. Perhaps on your visit, you could order that and take in the amazing scenery?

8. Gwanghwamun

Gwanghwamun is a 600-year-old historic gate at the Gyeongbokgung Palace, build during the Joseon Dynasty. For Korean drama fans, this is also the site featured in IRIS, when Hyunjun, Sunhwa, and Seunghee tried to stop a terrorist from setting off a nuclear bomb. Here’s a tip – when you visit the place, try to replay the scene and guess where the actors and actresses were and the position of the camera.
