The management of AirAsia has warned about the scam that offers free tickets and advised the public to ignore them.
According to a statement by AirAsia, there are two such scams that currently gone viral – one inviting the public to participate in a survey and the other offering 268 free flight tickets in conjunction with the low-cost carrier’s 28th anniversary.
“We would like to confirm that both of these "promotions" are scams, which uses the AirAsia brand without authorization, to lure the public to participate in its scheme.”
In the scam involving the so-called online survey, participants are directed to click on the link www.airasia.com-2017-givea.us. They are also required to answer a few questions in order to redeem the vouchers for their free tickets.
“We strongly advise the public to disregard such scams and not to click on any links or to provide any personal details,” the statement said.
AirAsia adds that it will not be held liable for any claims pertaining to the false scheme and all official announcements are made via airline’s official channels and credible mass media.
